The Future of 'Airplanes'

With navystardust12's recent resignation from his YouTube channel, many are left wondering what the future of his most famous, long-running series will hold. Airplanes, which was scheduled to enter it's sixth season this fall, will obviously be put on hold until navystardust12 sorts out the closing of the rest of his channel, but after that - he will actually still be continuing the series on a seperate YouTube channel. He will not, however, be releasing the episodes seperately like he used to, but rather putting the remaining episodes into several download releases. Navystardust12 has not announced much details on this new plan, however he has revealed that the five remaining, unaired season five episodes will be put into a September download release. He has also stated that the production hiatus on the series has ceased, and production on the sixth season resumed today. The first six episodes of the sixth season have been finished, with the seventh in production. We'll keep you updated.

Navystardust12 Quits YouTube

We have just received an official confirmation statement via email from navystardust12, that after nearly three years on YouTube, navystardust12 is officially leaving YouTube, indefinetly. The statement went as follows:

"For months now, I've been strongly thinking about YouTube, and now, I have come to my decision. After almost three years, I have decided to leave YouTube. This decision was not easy for me, as I have made so many friends and memories on YouTube, and as I prepare to log out for the final time, I realize that although this has all come to an end, I have changed over these years, and YouTube was sort of a place where I could be as creative as I wanted, and just create my own world with my series and videos, and fall into other people's stories in a way that I may never be able to do, again. Long live to all the magic that we've made, and I wish all of the friends that I've made the best. Thank you for sticking around with me all this time, and for being some of the best followers that I may ever have. Although the end has come, I will always remember this experience. Thank you."

He plans to release a Goodbye video soon.

'Airplanes' Production and Airing Update, Remake pushed back, Potential spin-off film

Navystardust12 today announced that the fifth season finale of his series Airplanes will be pushed back by one month to October 31st, 2011. The fifth season began airing in early January 2011, which means that this season will run for ten months, despite the fact that the season contains a mere 13 episodes. The season six premiere has been pushed back to November 23rd, 2011. The sixth season will be the first season of the show that will not air on the Navystardust12 channel. The sixth season will contain 27 episodes, making it the longest season in history for the show, however the season will run for approximately 9 months. The sixth season will finish airing on June 30th, 2012, which will be the two-year anniversary of the series premiere.

We previously announced that the Airplanes remake would debut this Winter, but Navystardust12 has since stated that the remake will be pushed back to late Fall 2012, or possibly 2013. The remake will air as a mini-series, consisting of 24 episodes to be put into 1 season.

Navystardust12 also announced today that a potential Airplanes spin off film was in the works. If the film is produced, there are currently two open airing windows: September - November 2012, or April - June 2013. The film would be a prequel to the events in Airplanes. Navystardust12 stated that the film would only take place if the remake was a success, and if the fans wanted to see the characters in an "earlier light". We will continue to keep you updated.
